Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced client driven Sr Mgr. Demand Management to 
strengthen our Channel Business Unit (CBU) Demand Management and Supply 
Chain Team strategy and execution methodologies.  

 

The ideal candidate would possess the sought after attributes below: 

 

1. Ability to revamp and level up Demand Management / Supply Chain teams 
and has significant transformational experience. 
2. Global S&OP leadership experience. 
3. Demonstrated ability to scale organizations. 
4. Extensive Supply Chain experience (e.g., Free Trade Zones and Order to 
Cash) preferred.  
5. Electronic component and/or channel distribution understanding. 
6. Working knowledge of data modeling, ‘smart analytics‘ dashboard (e.g., Power 
BI, Tableau, Python, etc.) and Demand Planning engine design.  

 

The Sr Mgr. Demand Management position is responsible for global coordination of 
the CBU forecast demand activities associated with customers and products. This 
position will define and implement the strategic direction of the CBU forecast 
processes, provide day-to-day direction of demand managers, and ensure the proper 
skill sets and tools are available to meet those objectives. The Sr Mgr. Demand 
Management will collaborate with the strategic decision makers from our BU and 
distributor stakeholders to promote and improve the demand forecasting process.  

 

Moreover, this position is the primary global focal point for CBU leadership and is 
responsibility to ensure sales and operations planning (S&OP) requirements (related 
to demand forecasting) are met. As an integral member of CBU management, you 
will be responsible for developing and executing demand planning strategies to 
optimize Supply Chain operations and ensure alignment with business objectives. 
This role involves forecasting demand, managing inventory, and collaborating with 


various teams to achieve efficient Supply Chain execution. The Sr Mgr Demand 
Management at TE Connectivity plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and 
effective flow of products from suppliers to customers. 

 

Key Tasks:    

 

Demand Forecasting + Inventory Management + S&OP: 
• Develop and implement global demand forecasting models, processes, and 
procedures to accurately predict future product demand. 
• Develop an optimal consensus forecast process with Finance and Sales to better 
align the CBU forecast and facilitate the monthly consensus review with the 
appropriate BUs to better support of our distributor partners and improve 
STR/STS performance. 
• Moderate and lead the S&OP process, providing supply status, reviewing demand 
outlook, and contributing to the development of supply plans.  
• Optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing holding 
costs and obsolescence. 

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 
• Work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, customer care, and other teams 
to ensure alignment of demand forecasts and supply plans. 
• Key CBU representative in monthly forecast demand pre-consensus meetings 
and supply review meetings with BU operational teams that align regional 
processes and ensure global best practice approach to demand forecasting. 

What your background should look like

• Develop a communication method to update distributors on CBU demand 
forecasting activities that promote awareness and encourage their involvement in 
improvement activities. 
• Establish and update demand manager work calendar that coordinates CBU and 
BU activities to meet S&OP operation requirements. 
• Establish and communicate monthly forecast accuracy reports to CBU, BU and 
distribution partners. 

 

Process Improvement + Performance Monitoring: 
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance demand management 
and backlog management capabilities. 
• Manage and outline continuous improvement activities that directly support 
increased forecast accuracy at the GPL and part number level. 
• Work with appropriate functional support departments to continually update 
forecasting software and promote innovation through technology enhancements 
that drive improvement accuracy performance. Oversee software system use, 
training, and enhancements for CBU.  
• Lead a minimum of two large projects per year that drive significant OPEX/CTS 
reduction, increased POS/Revenue growth, and/or Inventory Health 
improvements.  
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, inventory, 
backlog management, and supply chain efficiency. 

 

Key Performance Measurements:  
• Responsible for global forecast accuracy results and continuous improvement 
action plans where results fall below established guidelines. 
• Improve relationships amongst sales, marketing, supply chain, customer care, 
operational demand management, and other stakeholders that continuously improve 
and align the demand and financial forecast. 
• Effectively communicate with key distributor/BU leaders on forecast performance 
and develop improvement activities that better anticipate customer needs and 
improve forecast accuracy. 

Job Requirements

• 10-15 years of demand management experience in a large manufacturing or 
distribution environment with a minimum of 5-7 years in a management 
position. 
• Broad manufacturing, distribution, business process, and planning operations 
knowledge (e.g., POS vs POP bookings and billings, demand and backlog 
management, inventory health, SKU expansion, etc.).  

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Supply 
Chain or Finance - MBA preferred.  
• Clear communicator with strong written and documentation skills. The role 
best suits a highly organized, articulate, and direct candidate who is 
comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, managing conflict, 
influencing resources outside your own reporting structure, removing 
obstacles, driving progress, and maintaining accountability.  
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data and 
metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. Ability 
to challenge certain feature sets or ideas in a positive and collaborative 
manner.  
• Extensive career experience working independently through challenging 
initiatives with multiple dependencies and complexities. Able to thrive in a 
matrix environment where success depends on a high degree of cross-
functional collaboration in multiple geographies. Demonstrated ability to 
collaborate with remote teams, with flexibility to adapt to diverse cultures, work 
styles, and time zones. 
• Ability to develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a 
high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.  
• Accountable for results, which may impact the entire function. Focuses on 
providing thought leadership and works on broader organization programs, 
which requires understanding of wider business.

• Experience with SAP and APICS certification preferred

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $140,900 – 180,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
