Job Overview
TE’s GIobal Infrastructure Services (GIS) function is responsible for IT infrastructure including datacenter infrastructure (server/storage/network), cloud hyperscalers, end user compute, deskside/regional services delivery and service management. This infrastructure supports 40,000+ TE users in 50+ countries utilizing 1500+ applications. This infrastructure runs the core TE business applications, which require stability, reliability and solid recovery plans for those platforms.
Business Unit Description TEIS GIS
This position is responsible for ensuring proper disaster recovery across all TE infrastructure, applications and platforms while also serving as project delivery leader for the GIS Business Strategy Office. This role combines deep technical understanding of recovery strategies with strong execution, communication, and leadership skills to ensure the organization is prepared to respond effectively to disruptive events.
The disaster recovery manager works to ensure our applications and related infrastructure adhere to internal disaster recovery policies and processes. While this role is aligned with the infrastructure tower, the DR manager works closely with both application owners as well as the infrastructure teams to ensure success of our disaster recovery processes/policies. This includes ensuring documented disaster procedures exist at both the application and infrastructure levels, which are aligned with defined RTOs and RPOs based on application criticality. This position is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, governance, and standardization of disaster recovery capabilities and processes across
TEIS. Key responsibilities of this role include strong partnership with technology owners to guarantee the success of disaster recovery activities. This role also works with CMDB teams and application owners to define proper application tiering/criticality, ensuring proper priority of recovery operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own the strategy, roadmap, implementation and ongoing maturity of the disaster recovery program in alignment with all information technology teams to ensure proper recovery capabilities.
- Closely partner with technology owners (both application and infrastructure) to ensure proper documentation of DR process, DR testing documentation and overall DR strategy/alignment.
- Manages disaster recovery team to ensure on-going DR testing processes are timely and documented. Validate DR tests and provide final signoff.
- Review application criticality and tiering which defines RPO/RTO targets. Cross reference with solutions/architecture teams to ensure technology architecture aligns with appl needs.
- Work with owners of SaaS solutions to document/validate vendor DR capabilities, testing and proof that documentation exists.
- Facilitate the disaster recovery steering committee (DRSC) meetings, present current DR state and future roadmap. Work with that team and other key stakeholders to address disaster recovery concerns.
- Work with business continuity team as the liaison to IT operations.
- Remain current with disaster recovery technologies and processes to keep processes current and relevant.
- Lead IT specific crisis management activities that include activating IT Crisis Management Team via bridge/dial in, assigning crisis specific roles ad-hoc, note taking, action planning/assignment and close out.
- Help assess and document details during an actual crisis or disaster recovery event to provide details to be reported to executive team.
- Develop scenarios and perform yearly disaster recovery exercises.
- Provide project consulting and oversight, in collaboration with the SSBRC solutions team and other application and security solution architects
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure all disaster recovery documentation and enterprise-wide disaster related material is maintained and updated as required, including any KB articles, research/position papers, and Confluence sites
- Lead small team of disaster recovery and project management professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Generally, requires bachelor’s degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 8 years of experience;
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
- At least 8 years of experience in technical role related to Computer Science and Technology
- Demonstrated success leading projects and delivering outcomes in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Available for “on call” emergency/disaster response after-hours for significant incidents.
Competencies:
- Excellent understanding and experience with disaster recovery processes, technologies and documentation.
- Fundamental understanding of enterprise IT technologies (compute, storage, network, cloud) and architecture as they relate to DR.
- Ability to effectively partner, manage and influence other groups to ensure desired outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage people/direct reports--goal setting, end of year review, one on one meetings.
- Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Ability to present up (executive) and down (technical)

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $142,000 – 172,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
