Global Factory Quality Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Objectives:
1.     Lead quality teams in 2 cable plants to reach out the world-class quality level of DnD industry through continue improvement under direction of TEOA, Develop the Quality strategic plan to improve/sustain the customer NPS and Customer Quality Scorecard at world-class performance 
2.    Assure Ops plants to improve the process Quality through failure cost reduction.
3.    Provide data analytics and insights as a team to generate YoY global factory quality strategies with referencing to other global quality functions’ strategies under global quality strategy. Define Quality improvement opportunity in terms of quality system/process/design, and drive its implementation at Ops plant to improve process/Customer PPM/and TEOA to meet the corporate and BU target 
4.    Promote the effectiveness of Advance quality planning of the new projects, and set up the cooperation with Engineering AQE team to enhance the Lean PD process; Ensure end-to-end quality through early product and process engineering quality control, securing safe-launch by collaborating with NPI and customer quality function from plant quality perspective
5.    Carry out risk assessment of potential issues which has significant business impact and being able to handle properly both internal and external quality issues by leading plant quality team. Lead the major customer/internal issue problem solving cross the region; 
6.    Be fully aware and accountable for global factory quality strategy executions - progress and results of WIG actions/projects of his/her responsible plants, including but not restricted to below plant-owned strategies and WIG actions
        •Global customer quality
    •Global and plant local supplier quality
    •Global and plant local QMS
    •Data intelligence and digital quality transformation
    •NPI quality at plant– application robustness and DFM
    •Plant local targets, continual improvements
7.    Develop the QA functional capability and talent team( both soft skill and technical skill)

 

What your background should look like:

Qualifications
    •8 plus years Quality experience
    •Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines. Work experience beyond the required 8 years may be considered as an equivalent. 
    •Advanced Skills in MS Tools, Mini-Tab and Power BI
    •5 plus years in a Manufacturing Quality role
    •Ability to relay information in a clear, understandable way so that understanding is gained

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90K - $120K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
