We are excited to be hiring for a Regional HR Partner to compliment our existing UK HR TEam. This role will support our Energy business unit employees in the UK and Ireland alongside a group of employees located in our Small Headcount countries across multiple business units. This is a hybrid working pattern based onsite at out Witham site. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with a keen interest in people matters and strong experience in employee relations. This role will provide great development opportunities for somebody currently working as a strong HR Advisor wanting to strengthen their knowledge and skill sets and develop a long-term career in HR. This is a hybrid role, working on site in Witham balanced with working from home and occasional travel to other locations as required.TE Connectivity is a $16 Billion global technology leader, and this position will give you the unique opportunity with exposure to a multi-site, global matrix organisation.
Your new role:
- Establish a credible understanding of the business model and priorities for your region and wider organisation
- Provide expert guidance and management of employee relations and people-related issues through case management including, but not limited to absence management, performance improvements, disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and redundancies
- Work as part of a wider HR team to update and improve HR processes and policies in line with employment law updates and best practice
- Support TE Organisational outcomes through strong alignments of HR efforts, balancing enterprise mindset with BU business initiatives
- Partner with our centres of excellence on key projects and initiatives
- Coach, guide, influence and upskill management to develop and a culture aligned to TE’s expected values and behaviours
- Develop and work with key stakeholders to identify, develop and drive the people strategy for the site
- Proactively support cyclical activities and global initiatives
- Support promotion of wellbeing initiatives and engagement with benefits providers
- Analyse and report on relevant HR metrics to inform business initiatives
- Manage recruitment activities for our Band 6 workforce
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the business from time to time
Your ideal background:
- Professional working experience in a HR generalist/ advisory role
- Pragmatic approach with the ability to provide practical and innovative HR solutions
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective business partnering and coaching to managers within a specific segment, country or region
- Ability to coach and mentor senior leaders
- In depth knowledge of UK Employment Law
- Union experience desirable but not essential
- Analytical with a strategic approach to data utilisation
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability work collaboratively and build relationships virtually whilst managing multiple stakeholders
- Proactive approach to work, using initiative to balance day to day demands
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience of working in a global or matrixed organisation desirable
