Job Overview

TE Connectivity is seeking a qualified Global Supply Planner. In this role, you will oversee establishing a constrained long-term supply plan which ensures the highest level of operations and customer satisfaction with control over costs and resources.  You will work closely with demand planning, and both plant and central supply chain members to be aware of requirements and capacities, forecast and work constrained supply, and drive gap resolution.  You will ensure a bridge from the S&OE near term 1-3-month execution-centric horizon and apply focus and leadership over the planned long term SIOP horizon of 4 to 18+ months.

Job Requirements

  • Lead monthly SIOP Supply Planning process for assigned Global Product Lines, translating demand plan and inventory stocking strategies into supply requirements, applying demonstrated rates and capacities (internally manufactured and externally sourced), and finally generating a consensus constrained production, inventory, and revenue plan.
  • Provide oversite to  source supply reviews and lead consolidated global supply review.  Perform scenario planning and drive key decision making, considering lead times, cost, and resourcing.  Perform risk analysis and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems.
  • Identify and escalate constraints with materials (external and internal suppliers), labor, equipment, and quality/compliance.  Work cross functionally to own and drive resolution.
  • Provide glidepaths with actions and strategies to achieve targets.
  • Drive inventory optimization projects to oversee inventory $ and Days-on-Hand improvements in balance with customer delivery performance excellence.
  • Partner with peers in Sourcing, Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing regarding make vs buy, supplier performance, transportation, and capacity needs to drive and assist with long-term performance.
  • Partner with near term S&OE team members to ensure realistic bridge and alignment with SIOP horizon planning.
  • Lead supply planning representative in selection, deployment, and implementation of optimized planning software, including processes to assist and improve SIOP constrained supply planning processes.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, Business or Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience in a manufacturing environment in materials planning/master scheduling/management role(s).
  • Exhibit capabilities of managing and improving a constrained supply plan.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of MRP/ERP Systems (SAP), ideally Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Extended knowledge of planning processes (MRP, MPS, SIOP).
  • Experience with high mix/low volume demand and supply.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.  Able to effectively speak to different levels of the organization.  Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Conceptual and problem-solving skills, pragmatic approach with the capability to drive and sustain performance improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort with large amounts of data.  Ability in assessing and driving data-driven actions and improvements. 
  • Basic knowledge of Lean Production (Value Stream Mapping, Material Replenishment and Flow, PFEP, etc.)
  • General knowledge of Operations / Manufacturing processes in production plants as a basis for driving capacity improvements to assist SIOP performance.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
     


Desired skills/experience

  • APICS certification.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., IBP, Kinaxis, etc.); including set up/deployment and utilization to drive exceptional performance (delivery & inventory).
  • Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload based upon organization / team needs.
  • Skilled in identifying complex problems and in evaluating options to solve the issue.
  • Strong Project Management & Communication Skills 
  • Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization through collaboration.
  • Experience in an international environment.
  • Exhibits, drives and displays a clear understanding of desired results.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $110,000 - $138,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
