Material Planning Supervisor

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN:
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

 

YOUR MAIN TASKS:

  • Lead of material planning team
  • Represent work planning process to influence strategic and KPI achievement
  • Fostering a collaborative work environment where team members can effectively communicate and work together towards common goals
  • Day to day monitoring of tasks completion based on the schedules 
  • Ensuring the efficient communication and collaboration cross the functional teams
  • Prepare reporting of planning key metrics and consolidating reports for supply chain manager
  • Managing and improving overall  material planning process
  • Drive the ERP system accuracy
  • Responsibility for Material , components on time delivery schedule according to the customer demand
  • Managing the escalations to avoid late delivery from suppliers
  • Monitoring and taken action of inventory level in terms of safety stock , minimum order qty ( MOQs) , lead time (LT) according to the targets 
  • Participating on the strategy of vendor managed inventory

 

YOUR IDEAL BACKGROUND:

  • Relevant work experience in the field of material/production planning (ideally in an international company)
  • Proven leadership skills
  • English language on a business standard 
  • Independent and systematic way of working as well as very good organizational and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office, SAP advantage
  • Willingness to learn and ability to take on new projects and responsibilities
