Job Overview

Master Data Engineer manages the process for creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all SAP Material Master and production-related Master Data on SAP. Drives the implementation and coordination of SAP Part Creation Workflow systems and tools for the plants. Duties include timely set up new part extensions, part changes and master data updates in SAP. Monitors processes to ensure accurate and timely new part set-up.

Your responsibilities

Direct and coordinate activities related to the following:
•    Product Cost Development and Maintenance
•    Creating master data information (Bill of Materials, Routings, etc.) in SAP R/3 for new projects
•    Maintaining existing production and cost relevant master data in SAP
•    Managing product revision changes between engineering and production department
•    Monitoring and controling of cost breakdowns of products
•    Supporting Master Data Weekly Plant Level Reviews to ensure the timely creation of new parts and processing of change requests
•    Managing the link between product calculation and production departments
•    Maintaining the Reporting to assure master data quality
•    KPI Reporting on data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of part creation processes for assigned plants
•    Complete product variance analysis between actual and standard cost per project

What your background should look like:

•    University Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Economics/Finance
•    At least 3 years’ experience in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Master Data, and process development or related fields at manufacturing companies
•    Good knowledge of SAP modules of MM and PP, CO as well as Excel
•    Economical understanding of product cost calculation
•    Good English language skills (plus Slovak/Czech and preferably German)
•    Communication and analytical skills 
•    Solid experience in master data recording and maintenance as well as working with product drawings is an advantage
