Job Overview

We are looking for a hands‑on Manufacturing Technician to support and improve our compounding processes for WnC and Tubing products. In this role, you will help develop manufacturing methods, troubleshoot equipment, and support daily production. You will work with mixing and compounding machines (twin screws, batch mixers, Henschel blenders), keep our SAP system updated, and help lead process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma tools. You will also manage small projects, analyze production data, and partner with operations and engineering to ensure smooth production and successful new process launches.

Job Requirements

  • Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing processes for compound materials.
  • Use engineering fundamentals to solve routine technical issues.
  • Operate and troubleshoot compounding equipment (twin screw extruders, batch mixers, Henschel blenders).
  • Update SAP information, including BOMs, routings, PI sheets, and run conditions.
  • Create documentation (DWRs) and act as the link between operations and development teams.
  • Support and lead small‑scale projects.
  • Identify and solve process issues using data and root‑cause analysis.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations.
  • Apply Six Sigma/Lean tools to improve quality, efficiency, and processes.
  • Use good judgment, creativity, and initiative to complete assignments.

Top Required Skills

5+ years in compounding or plastics manufacturing (mixing, blending, extruding).Direct experience operating and troubleshooting:
  • Twin‑screw extruders
  • Batch mixers
  • Henschel blenders
SAP experience specifically for updating:
  • BOMs
  • Routings
  • PI sheets
  • Run conditions
Strong mechanical aptitude: able to diagnose equipment, adjust process parameters, and solve process issues on the floor.Comfortable using Lean/Six Sigma tools for root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement.Able to create/maintain documentation (DWRs, process changes, run conditions).Can support daily production and also run small projects independently.

    • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks or projects.
    • Clear communication skills and the ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
    • Associate degree in an engineering field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of compounding/manufacturing experience.
    • Experience using SAP to update BOMs, routings, and process information.
    • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement.
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to learn, analyze, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to identify root causes and solutions.
    • Self‑starter who can work independently with minimal supervision once given direction.
    • Must be proficient in English.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $107,800 – $161,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
