Job Overview

Operates machines and tools used in manufacturing processes to achieve production targets.

Job Requirements

Position Overview: 40 hrs a week, 30 minute lunch / Two 15 minute breaks. (Overtime as needed)

  • Running an extrusion machine
  • Employee must be productive, accountable, responsible and have great attendance

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Set-up machine by following Manufacturing System (MS) and CAMS guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots and adjusts. This would include adjustments and all aspects of machine changeovers, set-ups and tooling.
  • Perform Quality inspection and testing using micrometer, calipers and microscope. 
  • Completes necessary operational paperwork required and SAP transactions.
  • Work around hot equipment using PPE and hand tools.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required.
  • Completes work in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity.
  • Participates in departmental safety programs to include adhering to all EH&S policies
  • Ensures proper cleanliness of equipment and all 5S-2 daily.
  • Participate in kaizen events and problem-solving activities.
  • Follow TE guidelines, procedures, standard works and policies.

What your background should look like

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. (3 years)
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Must meet ITAR compliance requirements for employment.
  • Computer Skills – basic data entry.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 35 pounds.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $49,920 – $52,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
