Job Overview

The  Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a critical role needed to ensure high quality products are produced safely and efficiently. This highly technical individual is responsible for utilizing their knowledge, skill, and experience to handle a variety of tasks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Tooling Improvements and enhancements
  • Print review
  • Conducts daily audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure all safety, quality, and process standards are being followed.
  • Ensures that the processes run by the manufacturing team are performing at the designed efficiencies.
  • Responsible for productivity and scrap improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the use of the TEOA tools and philosophy.
  • Works closely with the launch organization on the introduction of new products.
  • Ensure that an effective communication with all interested and needed parties to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Evaluate all projects for effectiveness.
  • Lead and support equipment troubleshooting efforts as they arise with the ability too efficiently and independently work with various U.S. and global suppliers.
  • Maintain and/or support all related process documentation, not limited to but including repair logs, manuals, drawings, and procedures.
  • Support new program launch development efforts for new products, product extensions, and equipment releases into the plants.
  • Participate in product and equipment design reviews for the purpose of developing a robust product and manufacturing process.
  • Prepare and obtain quotes and materials needed for manufacturing equipment changes or improvements.
  • Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, or other TE departmental input such as TEOA toward process changes or improvements.
  • Must be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required.

 

 

 

What your background should look like:

  • High School Diploma required, Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
  • Experience in the manufacture of wire and cable, heat shrinkable tubing, and compounding preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Must be proficient in English language.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $88,000 – 132,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
