Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

 

Duties:

 

  • Print documents, labels and schedules
  • Organize documents and labels into packets
  • Distribute packets and schedules to the manufacturing team leads
  • Order raw materials from Fremont Warehouse
  • Monitor and Push orders that have been delayed in manufacturing.
  • Communicate /Liaise with Production Team Leads /Supervisors and other Functions and deliver materials support services to all manufacturing areas based on agreements reached.
  • Perform materials cycle-counting as required, recording and publishing results.
  • Participating in /carrying out investigation on inventory error root-cause analysis and corrective/preventative action activities.
  • Adhere to all Company Quality requirements in relation to materials handling, materials preservation or documentation
  • Train to be a backup planner to help cover Vacations
  • Adhere to all Company, Local and National/International Health & Safety Regulations, policies and procedures

What your background should look like:

Key Requirements:

 

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience with logistics/warehouse administrative duties
  • Ability to prioritize and organize and multi task to perform daily workload cross-functionally
  • Self-motivation, working with limited supervision
  • Responsibility for timeliness and quality of own work
  • Adaptability within ever changing working environment
  • Computer literacy/proficiency, ERP/SAP experience/MS Office products
  • Handling of hazardous materials/chemicals will form part of the role
  • Achieving target inventory accuracy within all warehouse storage areas
  • Proven track record of excellent time keeping & attendance is essential
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $56,100  – 84,200 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
