Job Overview

The Quality Inspector supports the inspection of products against performance and adherence to standards and customer requirements and ensures product quality and reliability.  The Quality Inspector performs basic to moderately complex quality inspections on products both within and at the end of the manufacturing process including recording, tracking, and reporting the results of the inspections and helping to implement corrective actions.

 

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Read & interpret CAD drawings and blueprints.
  • Perform visual & dimensional inspections.
  • Ensure parts meet quality requirements.
  • Document inspection results, measurements, & acceptance status.
  • Scan & file documents for digital copies of LHRs.
  • Identify, separate, & document non-conforming material.
  • Communicate inspection results & issues to Mfg. & Quality Eng.
  • Support first article inspections & quality review activities.
  • Maintain proper handling, labeling, & traceability of inspected materials.
  • Maintain a clean, organized inspection area.
  • Follow all compliance & safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

What your background should look like

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in quality inspection, mfg., or similar (Preferably).
  • Ability to read & interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, & basic tolerances.
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to follow written procedures.
  • Strong documentation & data entry skills.
  • Proactive and willing to learn.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high volume, and diverse environment across functions to produce expected results.
  • Able to work as business needs requires, which may include over time, occasional weekends.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $50,000  – 74,900 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
