Job Overview

The Industrial and Commercial Transportation (ICT) business unit within TE Connectivity is currently seeking a Business Analyst with strong industrial engineering and business acumen to join our team. This critical position is responsible for providing business recommendations for strategic projects through sound analysis in all business aspects including financial impact, footprint optimization, technology solutions, resource availabilities, etc. This highly organized individual with a strong financial and technical background will lead cross-functional feasibility studies and provide meaningful and logical input to support business decision-making.


•    Actively participate in global manufacturing strategy and deliberate footprint actions by collaborating across all functions within ICT, as well as non-ICT business units who manufacture on behalf of ICT.
•    Utilize expertise and techniques to establish footprint financial models, cost database – a series of the estimated cost of items for various regions, processes, activities, etc. to standardize expenses and ensure consistency and prepare P&L for various scenarios
•    Develop and maintain lean layout playbooks.
•    Audit each site towards the lean layout playbooks and provide recommendation of improvement plan.
•    Develop potential options based on strategic analysis, capacity analysis (current vs future need), financial analysis, timing, resource needs, etc. Grow and profitably defend the business.
•    Develop & manage footprint project plans and (as needed) gap closure plans and lead assigned Core Teams to achieve defined objectives.
•    Collaborate with related function teams to validate the feasibility of the product, process technology, and ensure operation strategy alignment.
•    Analyze option data and provide sound recommendations.
•    Assure projects are completed on time and in accordance with planned objectives
•    Provide planned and ad-hoc reporting and analysis to achieve results using data and facts, driving the appropriate processes and behaviors, and focusing on accountability for results.
•    Track project lessons learned and manage our best practices.
•    Proactively identify & resolve risks & issues and establish an escalation path on all projects.
•    Manage footprint project communication, risks, and schedules.

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, advanced business degree preferred
•    Minimum five years’ experience in Operations
•    Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices and theory
•    In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection mold & Assembly process) 
•    Strong data analytical skills and logical thinking
•    Large scale project management experience preferred
•    Strong communication abilities (written and verbal)
•    Ability to drive accountability and operational tempo amongst core team
•    Ability to work independently and remotely as part of a virtual team 
•    The capability to travel dogmatically and internationally
