Develops and monitors the organization's supply chain strategy and collaborates with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations meet quality and safety standards.
Job Requirements
Main Duties:
- Lead the plants’ logistic teams in the region and set functional goals for the different sites
- Promote a Zero Incident Culture in the logistic team, setting the safety of our employees as highest priority in all our plants
- Ensure the correct deployment of logistic policies and standards of ICT
- Create and animate a logistic network through the different plants, looking for best practices to deploy through all sites
- Participate in the definition of the organization and staffing of the plants’ logistic departments
- Monitor and support the professional development of the logistic team
- Monitor logistic performance of the plants, and define jointly with them the adequate action plans to improve it
- Support plants managers to define and execute their plant priority actions
- Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector
- Support plants implementing available tools. Eventually evaluate if any new one is needed and provide technical support to develop it
- Coordinate with other functions, mainly Procurement and Integrated Supply Chain, the needed actions to progress in the logistic targets
- Coordinate with plants’ planning teams a MPS-CTB process with the target to maximize delivery performance with the minimum inventory level and highest plants efficiency (leveling)
- Improve the inventory accuracy level, supporting the strictly application of the standards related to booking points, the cycle counting plan and the root cause analysis in case of inventory discrepancies
- Optimize the part storage and movements, through the design of the adequate warehouse and production areas layouts according to the inventory segmentation analysis (flat supermarket, “spill-over” area, shop stocks and/or sequenced buffers, safety stocks,…)
- Standardize the material movements in plants, defining the material routes with the cadence of parts and materials to equipment (like trains or AMRs)
- Implement fully visual management of materials including visual alert and reaction system
- Deploy full pull system in the plants’ processes
What your background should look like
- Master degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering
- Significant experience in Supply Chain & Planning
- Knowledge of Operations, Manufacturing and Supply Chain processes
- Strong understanding of SAP
- Strong analytical skills (Excel)
- Strong communication skills
- Travel up to 75%
