Job Requirements
Direct daily manufacturing operations to ensure achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People (SQDCP) performance objectives.
Lead production teams, supervisors, and hourly employees, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and prioritize production activities to ensure adherence to production plans and customer commitments.
Ensure the availability of human, material, and technical resources required to support business needs and operational objectives.
Lead continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement initiatives through the application of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
Actively participate in Kaizen events and structured problem-solving activities utilizing methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, and Kepner-Tregoe (KT).
Drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to improve operational performance and quality metrics.
Promote operational discipline and process standardization to support sustainable manufacturing excellence
.Lead new product industrialization, process transfers, and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to ensure successful program launches.
Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to achieve seamless product introductions and stable manufacturing operations.
Identify, investigate, and resolve deviations related to Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and production processes.
Develop, coach, and evaluate employees to strengthen organizational capability and leadership succession.
Participate in recruitment, talent development, performance management, and employee relations processes.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and growth-oriented work environment that supports employee engagement and professional development.
Lead and empower autonomous production teams focused on achieving key operational performance indicators.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety regulations, and applicable environmental requirements.
Maintain adherence to IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management system standards.
Lead internal, external, corporate, and customer audits related to manufacturing operations.
Exercise the authority to stop any activity or process that poses a risk to personnel, the environment, or regulatory compliance.
Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and capacity planning processes.
Manage operational budgets and allocated resources to achieve plant financial objectives.
Analyze operational performance metrics and establish action plans to drive sustainable business results and continuous improvement.
What your background should look like
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience managing manufacturing operations and leading teams of more than 200 employees.
- Experience working in unionized manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated experience in new product industrialization, process transfers, and production ramp-up activities.
- Experience with molding, plastic injection, overmolding, and assembly processes is highly desirable.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational performance management.
Technical Knowledge
- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe (KT), and similar approaches.
- Production planning, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), and Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP).
- IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and complex assembly operations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Knowledge of cutting, crimping, wire preparation, assembly, and testing processes is desirable.
- Advanced English proficiency (business and conversational).
