Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

Job Scope/Complexity:
•    Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. 
•    Identifies and corrects issues that are not immediately evident in existing systems or processes by analyzing information and generating ideas. 
•    Delivers results according to specific targets in direct support of department objectives
•    Audit procedures and work instructions
•    Evaluate legal compliance  
•    Implement activities, programs and procedures to accomplish legal requirements 
•    Follow up corrective action to finish on time
Knowledge Level:
•    Applies knowledge of a specific discipline to resolve problems of moderate scope requiring analysis/evaluation of a variety of factors. 
•    Developing in professional expertise and concepts. 
•    Apply company policies and practices to resolve semi-route issues.
•    Strong knowledge of job safety analysis and creating standard work instructions 
•    Strong level how to do the “Cedula de Operacional Anual” and get all the information that is required. 

Key Competencies/ Knowledge Application:
•    Exercises discretion and independent judgment within defined policies and procedures and applies skills and knowledge of theories and principles to understand specific needs or requirements and determine appropriate course of action.
•    Works under general supervision. 
•    Normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. 
•    Collaborate with colleagues and may train or mentor other employees; build productive internal/external working relationships
•    Strong knowledge about Handling suppliers and contractors

Must Haves:
•    Bachelor's degree (Environmentally Safe & Healthy or Industrial Engineering pref)
•    3- 5 years of experience in similar roles 
•    English advance
•    Experience implementan Mexican norms (medio ambiente y seguridad laboral) and internacional standards 
•    Implementing ISO 14001 and 45001
•    Microsoft Office knowledge
•    Safety machine Nom-004-STPS 
•    Experience to create training and explain others about 
•    Experience in creating emergency plans. 
•    Knowledge in high-risk job as working at heights, lockout & tag out,  crane. 


Desirables:
•    Good communication with all levels
•    Create Canva presentations and videos
•    Power BI dashboards
•    Create a crisis management procedure
•    Follow up the Management of Change 
•    Know how to do a protection civil permit 
•    Knowledge about ISO 13849-1
