Job Overview
The Quality Manager (MQE) is responsible for leading all plant quality functions across process quality, product quality, customer quality, supplier quality, quality systems, testing, and continuous improvement within a high-speed cable manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, drives operational excellence through robust quality systems and process controls, and leads quality initiatives from new product introduction (NPI) through mass production. The position partners closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to enhance product reliability, improve manufacturing performance, and achieve world-class quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage overall quality performance across high-speed cable manufacturing operations.
Oversee Incoming, In-Process, and Outgoing Quality activities to ensure product quality and customer requirements are met.
Drive process and product quality improvements through effective quality controls, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure effective deployment of quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, and 8D.
Lead customer quality activities, including complaint management, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Partner with suppliers to improve supplier quality performance and ensure incoming material quality.
Ensure compliance with quality management systems, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Lead internal, customer, and third-party audits and drive closure of audit findings.
Oversee testing and reliability activities to ensure product performance and compliance with specifications.
Monitor and improve key quality metrics, including PPM, Yield, Scrap, Rework, and Customer Returns.
Support new product introduction (NPI), process qualification, and production readiness activities.
Develop and lead a high-performing quality organization while fostering a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
What your background should look like
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.Master’s degree is a plus.
Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing quality within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing quality teams and driving quality initiatives.
Experience in cable assembly, connector manufacturing, high-speed cable, or related electronics manufacturing industries.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality audits, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, PFMEA, MSA, 8D, and statistical analysis.
Experience in customer quality, supplier quality, root cause analysis, and corrective action management.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willing and able to travel overseas for onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer during the initial months of employment.
