Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.
What your background should look like:


  1. Build customer relationships and be accepted as a competent partner by the customers
  2. Execute sensor growth strategy
  3. Translation of the voice of customer into product requirements
  4. Project management of new and existing sales and engineering projects from demand creation to production:
    • Interface between the TE Engineering design team and the customer to ensure that both sides understand the requirements and have all needed information available
    • Coordination and early involvement of and on-time communication with all involved TE internal departments (account manager, engineering, production, project management, marketing, etc.)
    • Ensure on time customer delivery of all information, including samples and supporting design and product verification activities
  1. Work in close cooperation with the sales / marketing and engineering teams
  2. Ability to create ideas to generate an advantage for TE at the customer
  3. Support customer, application and competitor market analysis
  4. Support MARCOM activities such as Articles, Flyers, Fairs, and Tech-Days
  5. Focus on Appliance applications/opportunities/customers



  1. BS Degree in Engineering required with 7 years of relevant experience
  2. High degree of knowledge in sensor technology and / or electronics / mechatronics
  3. Good understanding of Appliance sensors applications and systems a plus
  4. Strong capability to turn customer needs into business opportunities
  5. Ability to manage a cross functional team in a matrix organization
  6. Innovative thinker and problem solver. Willingness to push for better solutions
  7. Workable English in written and verbal form
  8. Willingness to travel up to 50% to key customers and other TE sites
