Job Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing strategies to prevent defects and scrap through data analysis and for leading multidisciplinary teams capable of taking action based on TEOA Lean methodologies to determine the risks of each operation.

Daily Activities:

  1. Internal Rejection Reports, Dock Audit and External Reports, and filling in information in PIMs for assigned areas.
  2. Follow-up on internal rejections, ensuring the containment process and analysis of the reported failure are carried out.
  3. Daily follow-up on External Fast Response, Dock Audit, and Internal issues, as well as QCPC Actions.
  4. Daily communication of Quality results in PIM 1-2.
  5. Follow-up and support for process QCPC failure analysis, as well as the Action Plan.
  6. Monitoring Scrap in assigned areas.
  7. Training inspection personnel in measurement methods, documentation, blueprint reading, and Q-notifications.
  8. Daily follow-up and coordination of control-level meetings in assigned areas.
  9. Monitoring and maintenance of the system regarding PMC-SW.
  10. Daily audit of personnel for top LT—verification of compliance with basic quality standards.

Periodic Activities:

  1. Failure analysis and PPSR development with the team for External and Dock Audit rejections.
  2. Monitoring and disposition of materials on HOLD.
  3. Data analysis of QCPC with the Engineering team for Action Plan development.
  4. Leading weekly meetings with Engineering and Production teams to present Quality data.
  5. Weekly presentation of Fast Response for External, Dock Audit, and Internal rejections.
  6. Calculation of inspection capacities in areas based on workload increase or decrease.
  7. Monitoring the reporting system for sellable material in the system (Confirmations).
  8. Scrap reports for assigned areas.
  9. Evaluation and approval of process document modifications.

Occasional Activities:

  1. Monthly reports of assigned areas: PPMs, Action Plans, Top Offenders.
  2. Support for RTD Quality Projects.
  3. Support for implementation of TEOA tools in assigned areas related to Quality.
  4. Define internal goals by LT for assigned areas based on general area and plant targets.
