Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Responsibilities:

•    Responsible for planning, execution & delivery of multiple VAVE or cost down projects or portfolios, including NPD, sustaining and advanced projects.

•    Responsible for leading project core team to conduct thorough analyses of products, components, and processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and functional enhancement.

•    Work closely with key stakeholders, including R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality teams to develop and implement VA/VE proposals.

•    Lead VA/VE projects from ideation to execution, ensuring timely delivery of results and alignment with business goals.

•    Work with project team for well control of project documentation following LEANPD process

•    Organize, lead and motivate global project team, and challenge the functions to take ownership of the project objectives to meet the targets.

•    Continue improvement/optimization for LEANPD process including VAVE process.

•    Ensure project schedules are planned and updated in time, leading the team to meet Time to Market targets.

•    Plan and update project budgets, achieve competitive costs, and evaluate project financial performance.

•    Define project scope clearly, prevent scope creep, and evaluate impacts of project changes to meet PRD.

•    Ensure projects are staffed for success, negotiating with functional managers and stakeholders to alleviate resource constraints.

•    Identify project risks, create and follow up on mitigation actions proactively, manage ongoing issues, and escalate when needed.

•    Ensure the team operates according to the LEANPD process, keeping focused on responsibilities and reporting project status to PAC.

Requirements:

•    A minimum of 10 years professional experience & at least 5 years working experience in Project Management, VAVE or equivalent leadership proven skills in leading, developing, and managing multiple projects.

•    Strong Project Management Skills including ability to Plan, Organize and Execute projects effectively and efficiently.

•    Strong Presentation and Communication Skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams, also be able to listen actively and address any concerns or issues that arise.

•    Knowledge of Connector and Cable assembly Product design/Manufacturing processes (Molding, Stamping/Plating, assembly) is preferred.

•    Risk Management mindset: Ability to anticipate problems and resolve them before they become significant issues.

•    Project management expertise to drive time to market balanced with commitment to quality.

•    Plan the project through Microsoft Project Pro software or equivalent tools.

•    Good at Oral and Written English.

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

•    Certifications (Preferred): Certified Value Specialist (CVS) from SAVE International, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
