SR PROJECT MANAGER ENGINEER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

What your background should look like:

Responsibilities
•    Lead and manage various sustaining projects including capacity building, manufacturing relocation, new tool building, process improvement, etc.
•    Follow established Stage Gate processes and assure integrity of project deliverables.
•    Utilize enterprise level project systems to manage project plans, resources, data, and actions.
•    Lead to work out project capital and expenses spending plan, capacity plan, cost model and project P&L.
•    Track project execution against plan, balance the priorities to ensure successful execution to overall project timeline.
•    Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the assigned business segment.
•    Set up regular review meetings, organize the whole team to improve bottleneck tasks. 
•    Present project progress to management team, highlight risk and support needed.
•    Lead to review all cost saving projects, drive accountability, visualize metrics dashboard to management team, ensuring timely implementation and saving amounts achieved as planned.
•    Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identifying, analyzing, and improving key business processes using improvement methodologies.
Position Requirements:
•    5 years+ project management experience
•    Proficient in spoken and written English
•    Positive and highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with cross-functional teams
•    Strong planning/organization and communication skills
•    Holistic overview of complex situations and handle effectively with difficult issues.
•    Experience in plastic injections, stamping and automation is a plus
