PRODUCT PRICING ANALYST III

Key Tasks:
• Assess special pricing requests or requests for quotes profitability and commercial effects of Channel transactional pricing decisions across Appliances.
• Improve win rate and deal profitability via willingness to pay analysis, win rate elasticity, and competitive variance analysis to present competitive pricing on special price requests and proposals.
• Make recommendations regarding business unit price structures and tactics for existing & new products and verify that pricing decisions support overall business unit objectives. Including the establishment of annual product line pricing objectives and leveraging segmentation and value-based models to establish product line pricing strategies.
• Coordinate the development and preparation of global price & margin guidelines and bands/envelopes for existing product lines and new products. Including the evaluation and use of overall published book pricing, OEM volume break pricing, distributor volume break pricing, and the creation of pricing bands and envelopes to be used in transactional decision-making (Channel & Agreements)
• Work closely with Product Management to provide analytical support and analysis in making recommendations for price adjustments & changes, product life cycle adjustments, product segmentation and cost inflation using pricing software analytics.
• Review low-margin products and identify price and margin opportunities to improve customer and global product line profitability. Perform margin and pricing analysis to support key business unit initiatives as required.
• Deeper understanding of market insights, competitive benchmarking, reference valuation, and cost to serve to implement pricing tactics and strategies to maximize Business Unit revenue opportunities.
• Recommend and implement bi-annual book price adjustments and run optimization/modeling scenarios when recommending published book pricing. Review discount and column structure for utilization and validation.
• Provide pricing guidance and support to the Direct Business Agreement Pricing Team for assigned global product lines.
• Work with the Shared Service Pricing Team (Enterprise Team) and drive a shared responsibility for pricing and commercial excellence in the business unit
• Work with the Pricing Process & Operations Team in the creation of a common database for competitive information.
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or Economics
• Pricing experience preferable
• Initiates action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
• Experience in pricing products in different life cycle stages.
• Experience in pricing new products and customer pricing analytics.
• Self-motivated, ability to proactively drive business improvements, willingness to adopt new pricing tools and initiate and/or accept changes.
• Able to work with global cross-functional team efforts focused on process implementation & execution.
• Working knowledge of TE Operational Advantage/Continuous Improvement Tools
• Strong PC abilities: expert Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications is required.
• Experience with SAP and Advanced Pricing Software is also a plus.
