ROLE OBJECTIVE

Qualified Tool Designer with requisite CAD, Design, Drafting Skillsets, specialized in Assembly Automation & Stamping Die Design.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze engineering drawings, preparation of assembly automation layouts, concept for Jigs and Fixtures /Gauges/ Dies.
• Preparation of production drawings for Parts Subassemblies and Main Assemblies, Bills of materials for Sub-Assemblies and Main Assemblies (Creo 10 & ZWCAD).
• Responsible for communicating time estimation and target dates for the task with the customer.
• Interaction with CFT for reviews, trials, and evaluation of component/tooling elements.
• Preparation of Documents / Presentation for the Automation line.
• Maintain Quality of Design/Drafting.
• Knowledge of PDMLink Windchill.
• Perform Engineering calculations as related to Tool design.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

• BE / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Post Diploma in Tool design (NTTF /GTTC/CITD)

• Knowledge of
  • Tool material, material Application, Heat treatment, and its processes.
  • Applications of Limits and Fits.
  • Line automation, Stamping tool.
  • Tool machining, Tool assembly, Measurement, and Tool room processes.
  • PTC Creo, AutoCAD/ZWCAD.
  • Industrial Standard Automation components.

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 4 years of experience in various engineering fields related to SPM/Connector Automation/Pneumatics and Equipment design, Product and process development.
• Good knowledge/Applications on GD&T ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools. (MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills, including Presentations.
