Job Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the product management team of TE Connectivity's Industrial Automation & Electrification Business Unit
Reporting to a Global Product Manager the position holder will have blended responsibility for managing a series of new product development projects and portfolio management of the industrial cable assemblies.
The position holder will drive the performance of their projects, their cross-functional team, and the overall portfolio. They will also contribute significantly to the steering, growth, and continuous improvement of the portfolio.
- You will be required to execute best-in-class management of your own projects, delivering excellent benefits from complex multi-site and multi-domain programs.
- Develop and execute the regional product portfolio strategy (Industrial Cable Assemblies).
- Work closely with Sales on growth and customer plans
Developing relationships and maintaining a high-level of communication with cross-functional global teams will be critical to the role. You will act as the focal point for all projects across the portfolio and report progress to a senior leadership team on a regular cadence. You will also interact with the commercial functions within TE IND to monitor the opportunity pipeline and facilitate opportunity reviews and project launches.
The role is open to remote working, but proximity to a TE site for onboarding and, when required, in-person work would be advantageous.
Domestic Travel is possible for up to 15% & Global Travel is possible for up to 10% of the time (when customers and restrictions allow)
Responsibilities
- All aspects of Product Portfolio Management
- Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders
- Define go‑to‑market strategies and pricing guidelines
- Manage sales forecasting, margin performance, and day‑to‑day coordination across multiple units
- Development of Project Business Cases alongside the Project Management Office (PMO)
- Reporting on Project status and being accountable for project progress against the Plan
- Escalation of issues as applicable and utilization of project change controls
- Liaising with TE team members, customers, and suppliers globally
What your background should look like:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years’ related experience, including leadership over multiple continuous projects including those within a regulated field. They will also have had either experience of, or a high level of exposure to, product portfolio management. They will have a track record of successful delivery of customer facing product development projects following a Stage Gate process in a hardware product development / manufacturing environment.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical Studies, or equivalent and 8+ year’s related experience
- Very strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization functions (internal and external)
- Able to take ownership of each of your projects, and the whole portfolio, and drive good decisions in a matrixed leadership position to deliver results
- Clear strategic thinker with the ability to execute on priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to perform in a demanding environment
- Excellent organizational, time management and administrative skills
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to disseminate critical information appropriately
- Good level of IT capability with detailed experience of Microsoft Office
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel
- Strong customer focus and ability to build long‑term relationships
- Ability to work and influence in a matrix organization
- Self‑driven, well‑organized, and results‑oriented
- Strong mix of technical understanding and commercial mindset
Other Beneficial Requirements
- Experience in stakeholder collaboration, people leadership experience is a plus
- Technical and commercial education/experience related to Engineering and/or Manufacturing in a similar regulated industry

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $139,300 - 174,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
