Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

 

TE Transportation Sensors’ ambition is to become the Sensing industry leader in vehicle electrification in our selected focus application areas – namely Battery, eMotor and eBraking systems.

  
eBraking and autonomous megatrend driven safety-related sensors are covered by Product Family team called Brake & Safety Sensing Solutions, which manages position, speed and pressure sensors for brakes, body, and chassis applications for automotive and commercial vehicle markets.

What your background should look like:

  • Own the product from end-to-end with full accountability in a matrix environment.
  • Think and make decisions like a business owner. 
  • Manage Product Family P&L and create Product Business Plan 
  • Leverage market and data trends to craft product family strategy.
  • Listen to the customer needs and translate into optimally engineered solutions.
  • Balance solution ideation with pragmatic execution.
  • Collaborate and build alignment across global teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans.
  • Demonstrate ability to look for market and customer patterns for opportunities to grow market share.
  • Strategy development with key stakeholders to drive growth and profitable market differentiation & value proposition. 
  • Application / System Level knowhow (VOC) and advanced engineering strategy with System Architect team
  • Engineering Roadmap – technology, product, and process
  • Manufacturing and global footprint strategy
  • Go-To-Market plan, incl. target & key customer strategies and product promotion plan.
  • Profitability - pricing strategy and cost structure
  • Demonstrate thought leadership.
  • Travel (up to 25%) for customer visits, association presentations, field training, etc.
     

Skills, Experience and Education:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or 5-7 years of management experience covering Product Management related activities.
  • Bachelor's degree
  • MBA preferred
  • Global experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual in German or Chinese preferred
