Job Description

Summary:  Responsible for managing end-to-end import/export operations, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, and overseeing logistics activities to optimize cost, efficiency, and service quality. Acts as the subject matter expert for customs clearance, trade compliance, and transportation management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Import/Export Declaration :
•    Understand on the  product knowledge and work closely with brokers to complete customs clearance procedures and handling daily operational issues.
•    Execute and oversee daily import/export activities for raw materials, finished goods, machinery, and spare parts.
•    Prepare and review customs declarations, shipping documents, and trade compliance paperwork.
•    Track and monitor customs clearance status, proactively resolving abnormal cases and delays to ensure compliance with LMW license requirements and global trade regulations.
•    Liaise with Global Trade Services on import/export matters and ensure compliance with LMW license

Customs Compliance & Risk Management
•    Interpret and apply customs laws, HS codes, tariff classifications, and valuation rules.
•    Conduct advance risk assessments for import/export declarations to prevent compliance issues.
•    Manage customs disputes and lead resolution of major clearance exceptions and inspections.
•    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and implement compliance strategies.

License & Certificate Management
•    Handle applications and renewals for import/export licenses and certificates (e.g., preferential CoO, CCC exemption).
•    Maintain accurate records and monitor validity of all licenses and certificates to meet regulatory requirements.

Customs Broker & Forwarder Management
•    Manage daily communication with customs brokers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth operations.
•    Negotiate service agreements and monitor performance through KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
•    Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining compliance and service quality.


REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION
•    Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. 
•    Minimum 2-5 years of experience in import/export operations and logistics management. 
•    In-depth knowledge of customs laws, HS codes, tariff classification, and trade documentation. 
•    Strong experience in transportation planning, freight negotiation, and 3PL management. 
•    Proficiency in ERP systems and trade compliance tools. 
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
•    Familiarity with license/certificate applications (CoO, CCC exemption, etc.).
•    Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
