TRANSPORTATION ANALYST I

Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Traffic Administration Teams are responsible for the coordination and consolidation of domestic and international systems to support shipments. They ensure lowest cost transportation is used by analyzing company and customer needs, researching transportation methods, and auditing carrier costs and performance. They also interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepares applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.
What your background should look like:

Primary Tasks:
Work in cooperation with Business Unit Trade Compliance Officer to develop trade compliance awareness on site
Set up and maintain efficient trade compliance processes and routines
Support of customs and foreign trade audits
Evaluation of audit reports and derive and implementation of corrective measures
Assessment and application of appropriate simplified customs procedures
Management of customer requests for export control documentation
Management of export licenses for controlled products
Communication with the carriers and import arrival notices management
Preferential origin management
Customs Broker Management:
Maintain SOPs with the customs broker
Processing of inquiries from the customs broker and derive improvement measures
Perform post entry checks of import and export customs declarations
Manage Proof of Exports
KPI measurement
Denied party screening:
Check and release blocked orders,
File end user certificates
Escalate potential risks
 Requirements:
 Several years of experience in operational import and export processing
Additional training and education in customs and foreign trade e.g. customs declarant, customs specialist.
First experiences in the supporting customs and foreign trade audits
Solid knowledge in customs law (especially customs procedures and customs value)
Solid understanding of IT systems like SAP and other BI applications
Confident with MS Office applications (especially Excel  and Access)
Analytical and process-oriented thinking skills, independent and structured working methods and a strong team player
Good written and spoken English skills
As the ideal candidate for this position, you will not only be familiar with the operational aspects but will also be familiar with the legal evaluation of these operations and will be able to optimize customs processes in a targeted manner, thus ensuring the sustainable internal and external application of best practice.
