Senior Equipment Design Engineer - $5,000 Sign on Bonus

TE’s Medical business unit, part of the Industrial Solutions segment, offers medical device OEMs, a complete product offering, and capability portfolio for minimally invasive, imaging, surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic devices.
 
TE Connectivity’s Process Development Engineering Teams introduce products into manufacturing. They are responsible for process development, and qualification from market definition through production and release. 
 
For this Sr. Process Development Engineer role, we are looking for an individual with extensive experience identifying state of the art manufacturing solutions for various medical device assembly processes. This candidate would be able to design, procure, develop processes and release fixtures & equipment into manufacturing. They would also partner with internal and external machine design service groups for more complex projects.
 

  • Strong ability to identify/create solutions for manufacturing challenges related to capacity and/or process repeatability.
  • Must be able to design fixtures/automation and implement into a manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop and deploy efficient systems to integrate production machines, material requirements, and information to achieve a successful product transfer into Manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with production management and cross-functional support teams to identify manufacturing constraints and execute solutions accordingly.
  • Ability to collect statistical production cycle time studies, analyze data, and optimize process.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of plant systems, equipment, and operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root cause and implement solutions
  • Excellent people and project management skills.
  • Moderate data analysis skills 
  • Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and ability to operate Solidworks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Word.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience required
