Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.



  • Lead Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Team; coordination and development of the team and employees
  • Ensure knowledge management, functional and personal development of the team members
  • Resource planning and control for the team
  • Create Process Roadmap Product Line and align to technology and product roadmap
  • Define standard process flow and value stream considering product and process platform, design-tomanufacturing
  • capabilities, roadmap and footprint strategy
  • Design and implement the layout of operational work areas to eliminate process waste
  • Interpret and translate technical requirements for process operators as needed
  • Maintain, improve, and create assembly/test work instructions, and Tool/Fixture plans to product conforming equipment per technical specification
  • Development and improvement of manufacturing documentation and controls, i.e. routers, BOM’s, and manufacturing standards
  • Ensures on-schedule and good quality fulfilment of team deliverables
  • Provide and support Reviews, Reporting, Analysis Project Database
  • Standardization and coordination of transfer of new products and processes to manufacturing
  • Participate in Engineering design reviews for existing and emerging products to evaluate production means and methods, operational performance standards and requirements

What your background should look like:


  • BS Degree in Engineering/Physical Sciences
  • 5-8 years` experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering
  • Lean/Constraint Theory / Project Management
  • Structured Problem Solving (A3/8D/DMAIC)
  • Strong understanding of ASME Y14.5-2009
  • Experience with ISO 9001: 2015 and IECEx and other standards
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Quick Learner with strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach
  • Positive, adaptable attitude that thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment
