Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Financial Controlling Teams coordinate, administer, and control financial operations. They review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, direct all aspects of accounting operations and the preparation of annual financial forecasts. They also oversee the development of financial accounting systems required to maintain reporting requirements.  As controller of the business you are a key part of the site management teams. The role is to provide financial and administrative control, analysis and advice to the local and the global management team.

 

  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, monthly/quarterly results analysis and annual budget. This includes aligning the sales and operations plan and setting the annual standard costs to reconcile to the budget submission.
  • Ensure strong internal control environment is maintained and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures. 
  • Provide financial and business guidance to the General Managers.
  • Prepare required financial analysis to support and guide business decision making, including sales contracts, pricing proposals, capital expenditure or working capital investments.
  • Preparation and review of monthly reporting package to ensure accurate and timely submission to head office. Involves closing books in 2-3 days, completing all monthly account reconciliations and resolving any differences, preparing monthly analysis of performance for review with local management and head office.
  • Responsible for assisting with the reporting of non-general ledger information such as current backlog, bookings, headcount, etc.
  • Review sales contracts, quotes and purchasing documents to ensure compliance with company policies and local law and regulations.
  • Review monthly payroll information, employee tax and benefits to ensure compliance with local employment law and guidelines.
  • Lead, manage and develop Finance team members through delegation, team goals and function alignment, team member accountability and developmental training.

What your background should look like:

 

DOMESTIC RELOCATON ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Qualified accountant. 
  • 7-10 years experience in a manufacturing plant finance environment with five years’ experience operating at a management level.
  • Ability to manage team members and drive accountability and results.
  • Must be highly organized and be able to work on multiple projects at the same time that vary widely in scope, size, and type.
  • Experience in supporting and regular interaction with senior level company.
  • Excellent skills in verbal, written, and presentation communications to all levels and types of management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ERP systems (SAP a plus).
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency.  Strong spreadsheet skills (MS Office applications) required.
