Job Overview

Planisware Configurator

Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and support of the Planisware enterprise solution. Partners with business stakeholders, enterprise systems teams, and external vendors to translate business requirements into scalable Planisware configurations and solutions.

Supports the delivery of system enhancements and releases by performing configuration, analysis, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while ensuring solution quality, data integrity, security, performance, and adherence to established enterprise standards.

Job Requirements

 

  • Configuring and maintaining Planisware functionality to support business processes, including portfolio, project, resource, financial, and related planning processes.
  • Gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into Planisware solutions, including configuration specifications, system changes, workflows, business rules, reports, views, and other application components.
  • Designing, configuring, testing, and implementing Planisware enhancements while ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with established system architecture and configuration standards.
  • Supporting Planisware releases and upgrades, including impact assessments, configuration changes, regression testing, defect resolution, deployment preparation, and post-production validation.
  • Troubleshooting application and data issues by performing root-cause analysis and coordinating resolution with business stakeholders, technical teams, and Planisware or other external vendors as appropriate.
  • Supporting integrations and data exchanges between Planisware and other enterprise applications by validating requirements, data mappings, interfaces, and end-to-end solution behavior.
  • Developing and maintaining technical and functional documentation, including configuration specifications, solution designs, test scenarios, release documentation, and operational support procedures.
  • Collaborating with Product Owners, Business Analysts, architects, developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders to evaluate enhancement requests, recommend solutions, and deliver Planisware capabilities that meet business needs.
  • Applying configuration management and change-control practices to ensure Planisware changes are appropriately designed, tested, documented, approved, and promoted across development, test, and production environments.
  • Providing ongoing production support and contributing to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify configuration, improve system performance, enhance usability, and reduce recurring incidents.

 

What your background should look like

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in Planisware Enterprise configuration and administration.
  • Strong understanding of Project Portfolio Management (PPM/EPPM) processes and best practices.
  • Demonstrated expertise in solution design, system configuration, and customization to meet business requirements.
  • Experience configuring workflows, business rules, forms, and approval processes within Planisware.
  • Solid knowledge of portfolio management, project management, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience with resource planning, capacity management, and demand management processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost management.
  • Ability to develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support business decision-making.
  • Experience supporting system integrations, interfaces, and data exchanges with enterprise applications.
  • Strong skills in data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Experience performing system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Knowledge of release management, change management, and application lifecycle management practices.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, including the creation of functional specifications, technical documentation, and user guides.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Experience providing production application support and ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience collaborating closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and teamwork skills in a global environment.
  • Professional English communication skills required.
