Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Stamping Teams operate assigned automated stamping machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for entire Stamping operation Including Production, NPD and Manufacturing engineering.
  • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, inventory, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Optimization and standardization of stamping processes
  • Manage SPEQDC (Safety, people, Environmental, quality, delivery, cost) indicators for stamping production
  • Looking after Manufacturing cost control and TEOA implementation
  • Looking after Capacity utilization and balancing
  • Responsible for Man-power allocation and cost saving for new initiative
  • Design and support standardization of machinery and peripheral equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Support production capacity balancing in our day-to-day work and develop processes & features with increased flexibility
  • Lead department Team and support managers in aligning Stamping activities with management goals and expectations as well as the roadmaps and strategies
  • Responsible for the system adherence like IATF 16949, ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • BE/ B Tech. (Mechanical)
  • High speed stamping knowledge (Preferable)
  • Hands on experience in stamping Process and progressive tooling
  • Base knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools (Six Sigma degree is preferred)

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years of experience with a minimum of 5 years in the operation and maintenance of automotive high speed stamping industries
  • Extensive transnational working experience to leverage partnering with TE competency centers and using advance TE Stamping competencies to India.
  • Experience managing a working environment conforming to Global Automotive Regulations such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001 & OSHAS 18001.
  • Experience to foresee the operational risk and find methods to overcome. 
  • Previous experience building and sustaining high-performing multi-disciplinary stamping team
