BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION


Transportation solutions BU makes products for Connecting and Sensing Data, Power and Signal for vehicles ranging from Two wheelers to Heavy Commercial trucks. Also serve specialized cable assembly and EV products for automotive Europe market from India.
The above position has been created to support the Transportation segment & its strategy to deliver the aspirational goals.
 

ROLE OBJECTIVE


•    To grow the business of Transportation  in line with the strategic alignment of the segment .
•    Protect and develop the Gross  Margins for transportation handled .
•    Understand Gaps on products for future Market trends & Create a plan to close the Gap
•    Drive the long term 5 year plan along with profitability with right portfolio balance .
•    Deep dive each applications and work towards creating Application wise CPV Plan/ Strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•    Management of the Product Strategy 
•    Portfolio Management / Budget 
•    Market analysis like target market and competitor analysis
•    Responsible for the profitability for the five year plan .   
•    Management of the product lifecycle and continuous control of the Portfolio
•    Support MARCOM activities like Articles, Flyers, Fairs, Tech Days…
•    Product Responsible from Marketing side during the whole product life cycle
•    Support of the Sales Department regarding pricing strategy and offers 
•    Interface to the S&OP team for forecasts and capacity studies
•    Close coordination with Product engineering & manufacturing engineering for highly effective output 
•    Project presentation to India & EMEA management   (PAC)
•    Market share mapping and gain .
•    Functional/Technical Skills

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE


•    Commercial or technical background, ideally a joint degree of engineering and business administration (industrial/ commercial engineer) 
•    Requires deep knowledge in area of accountability and multi-functional or multi-unit management experience. 
•    Contributes to defining business strategy and develops own organization in support of that strategy.
•    Has measurable impact on operating efficiencies and organizational objectives

CRITICAL EXPERIENCE

•    Minimum 15+ years  experience in various Business Administration and Product Management 
•    Knowledge of the automotive industry 
•    Knowledge of the vehicle architecture  
•    Basic Knowledge about Sensors & Connectors preferred .
•    Knowledge about component portfolio of TE and competitors
•    Financial exposure for Account Management which consists of  profit Margin, CER (Capital Expenditure requirements ), ROI (Return on investment, Productivity  and Revenue realization
•    Europe business exposure (added advantage)
