BU / FUNCTION DESCRIPTION - TE Connectivity's Mold Makers apply knowledge of mold design and construction to the construction, conditioning, modification, repair, and transfer of injection molds. They fabricate new molds by analyzing drawing prints, sketches, models and or shop specifications. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES -
1- Conduct print reviews of design and provide recommendations to improve the molding design/process (2D/QIP/Critical Dimensions.
2- Has expertise in mold tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of molding or other processes within the manufacturing environment.
3-High level of troubleshooting skills i.e. Conduct root cause and employ corrective actions in response to debugging/complaints.
4-Provide ownership of the transition of new designs into manufacturing through a structured NPI release process.
5-Evaluate the overall dimensions of a molded product and make recommendations for improvements before releasing the mold and mold process into production.
6-Tool/Mould hand over to Production team .
Provide leadership and manage the complete product development life cycle (starting from voice of customer, ideation, Design Conceptualization, Creation of product specifications, 3D design, Prototyping, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustenance till product end of life)
- Executing the global business unit strategy and manage the Indian based engineering group to meet business unit goals and objectives.
Build a deep understanding of market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams - Partner with customers based on early engagement processes and provide necessary design solutions to maintain TE’s position as a global leader in medical device design and manufacturing
- Introduce breakthrough technologies by partnering technically with our customers worldwide and with our TE Global competency centers to enhance business revenue & growth.
Applying engineering best practice to reduce costs and sustain exiting products to meet customers’ cost targets. - Collaborate with Human Resources to develop the necessary training modules to educate our engineering team in India. Overseeing the headcount planning, recruitment, rotation, development and succession of the employees.
- Lead all aspects of establishing and running the TE Medical R&D site in India. Partner with other Global TE Leaders in transferring activities, equipment, products, and know-how to the India engineering team.
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
- Tool Maker (Mechanical/Tooling) with PUC/SSC+3 years education (Tool and Die Making)
Knowledge about various phases of product realization and product development
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art design tools such as 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), modelling, Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of CAPA, GDP, GMP and ISO 13485: 2016
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience with a minimum of automotive connector industry related to new product development and maintenance
- Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly technics (DFMA), design for cost (DFC)
- Previous experience building and sustaining high-performing multi-disciplinary engineering teams
