Job Overview
Plans the sequence of actions, selects appropriate machines and materials, and determines the batch size and speed of the production equipment.
- Apply job skills in area of specialization to operate CNC machining equipment and perform other various tasks
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation
- Operate CMM’s and digital inspection equipment
- Load and unload tumbler
- May adapt procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment
- Work with team to trouble shoot operations and/or flow issues
- Perform quality inspection checks to ensure the product meets quality standards, complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Meet documented and communicated standards for quality and productivity
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Work safely with small hand tools and measuring equipment
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Shift Schedule
This position is located on our 2nd shift which works 4pm - 2am Monday through Thursday. Individuals working 2nd shift receive 10% shift premium on top of their hourly rate. Overtime is available and may be required during times of increased volume.
Job Requirements
- Planning and executing specific runs, setting up machines and equipment, and ensuring that the equipment operates at optimal capacity.
- Keeping equipment maintenance logs, following procedures to handle equipment failures, and installing and maintaining commonly changed equipment features or components.
- Assisting in developing operation standards, safety guidelines, and equipment maintenance approach to help create a stable working environment.
- Troubleshooting the manufacturing processes, providing technical support for the production processes, and collaborating with multiple divisions to maintain the continuous workflow of the unit.
What your background should look like
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with and ability to perform set-up operations, and handle change-over responsibilities
- Experience interacting with mechanical systems and ability to troubleshoot assembly machines or equipment
- Proficient with use of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators for dimensional inspection of materials
- Proven record of using inspection data to make mechanical and program changes to achieve part specifications
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately set up and assemble products
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Understanding of GD&T is a plus
- This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $25.00 - $31.00/HR (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
