Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Customer Quality related activities
• Work within a cross functional team to resolve product quality issues raised by customers and update customers in a timely manner regarding the status of quality issues or any requests to ensure customer satisfaction
• Work with Quality Technicians to provide quality investigation reports to customers in a timely manner
• Analyse quality issues/customer claims and implement corrective/preventive measures
• Develop and implement quality and reliability techniques including Ishikawa, Fault Tree Analysis, Design of Experiments, Measurement system analysis, Quality Function Development, Test Design and Test Data Correlation Analysis
• Support and analyse production breakdowns with 8D methods and procedures (Automotive Core Tools)
• Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes
• Quality interface in new projects development
• Implementation of quality pre-planning for new products according to APQP
• Involvement in risk analyses and feasibility studies
• Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
• Analyse data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests
• Prepare and maintain product quality documentation based on QMS specifications
• Perform Quality audits in production and implement improvement actions"                                
                                
 

What your background should look like:

• 5+ plus years Quality Experience
• Automotive industry experience ( preferred)
• Electronic manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience with OEM and Tier 1 Customer Specific Requirements and quality/delivery expectations
• Experience with problem solving tools
• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in an Engineering Discipline required
• 6-Sigma certification would be a plus
