Job Overview

To strengthen our European team, we are seeking a dedicated Sr Field Application Engineer (FAE) with strong technical expertise and a customer-centric mindset.

Job Requirements
- Technical Consulting & Design-In: Support customers in integrating our products into their system architecture—using existing solutions or exploring new developments (via Webex or on-site).
- Project Support: Drive new customer projects from identifying relevant applications to defining technical specifications and system implementation (e.g., in RTS, SFDC).
- Product Presentations & Training: Deliver customer training sessions, webinars, and product demonstrations, including innovative solutions such as PCB connectors, high-speed technologies, and TE Raychem products.
- Technical Support: Act as the go-to contact for technical inquiries from customers, sales teams, and distribution partners.
- Prototyping & Sample Builds: Assist with small pre-series builds, demos, and product-specific materials.
- Standards & Nomenclature: Translate competitor and TE product nomenclature into TE part numbers to support quotation processes in collaboration with the internal sales team.
- Regional Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the EMEA region. Additional responsibility includes Spain and Portugal.
What your background should look like
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification (e.g., certified technician or industrial master with relevant experience).
- Experience in technical customer consulting and/or technical sales, ideally in aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.
- Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, especially cables, connectors, heat-shrink tubing, and system architectures.
- Familiarity with circuit diagrams, block diagrams, and system designs.
- Strong communication skills, solution-oriented, and confident in customer interactions.
- Fluent in French and English; Spanish is a plus.
- Hands-on skills (e.g., for trade show setups, product demonstrations) and willingness to travel.
- Proficient in presentations, webinars, and digital tools.
