Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Job Requirements

  • Lead a team of project managers, with project execution globally for Medical project portfolio.
  • Plan and coordinate PMO resources to support of the overall strategy, work with cross functional partner to coordinate global project resources.
  • Track and communicate project execution KPIs to ensure on time, on scope and on budget project delivery via a project dashboard. Prioritize projects with PBUs.
  • Adapt/challenge traditional approaches to enhance quality or value in existing methods.
  • Assess risk and compliance across the project’s portfolio.
  • Frequently interact with multiple organizational levels.
  • Establish PMO budget, provide input into capital expenditures and project/dept. budgets planning and Management.
  • Interact with customers to scope, quote, progress report out on project performance objectives.
  • Conduct project deep dives to ensure On-Time, on budget and on scope delivery.
  • As a PMO SME, provide coaching on resolving key issues that directly impact the project execution and PMO team.
  • Hold core teams accountable to schedule and deliverables.
  • Track lessons learned and manage best practices.
  • Coach the team and participate in PBU Phase Gate Reviews and host the Medical Leadership
  • Team MLT gate review.
  • Ensure compliance with Product Lifecycle tools and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to PMO processes, procedures, and use of PMO templates and documentations.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business
  • 13+ years’ of demonstrated Project / Program Management experience in technology or Medical Device Manufacturing working with internal and external customers required. 
  • 7+ Team leadership experienced 
  • Experience in the matrix management of a project team.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations preferred.
  • Formal Project management training required. PMP certification preferred.
  • New product introduction experience required.
  • Results and KPI-oriented.
  • Ability to act as a TE Connectivity and customer advocate.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and confidence communicating to senior management and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability in managing systems, managing up, and managing peers and team through other leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex projects portfolio and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Experience in managing global teams.
  • Experience in Product/Project Lifecycle implementation and strong process and systems understanding preferred.
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and component or assembly design principles required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication, problem-solving required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, on-line collaboration tools, and databases required.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% annually. (Traveling 1x a month on average)

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience:$156,000 - $200,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
