TE Connectivity is in search of a new 3rd Shift Supervisor of Production, for our Plymouth, MN facility medical device operation.  TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Overview

Model TE behavior-based safety practices to promote safe culture and compliance to worksite policies.
    Lead capacity planning to appropriately staff, train, orientate direct staff to ensure alignment with production schedules and effective workforce utilization.
    Leverage and apply knowledge of lean manufacturing and six-sigma tools to meet cost improvement initiatives.  

    Conduct annual performance reviews and set expectations, goals, and objectives for employees, conduct annual goal setting and cultivate talent.
    Lead daily tiered meetings to monitor KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and adjust workforce as necessary

    Direct and coordinate activities to drive employees engaged based on employee survey results

    Lead cross-functional value stream team to ensure customer focus, monitor KPI’s and alignment to continuous improvement activities and solve day-to-day operational issues.
    This role requires regular presence on the floor, occasional weekend coverage and coordination with another shift leadership.

What your background should look like:

    Degree in a related field preferred. 
    At least 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
    Medical device experience
    SAP knowledge
    Lean six-sigma experience a plus
