MGR LOGISTICS

Job Overview

This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.  As a key member of the Supply Chain Management Team, the person will be responsible for driving the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Logistics, Warehousing and Shipping functions to best-in-class standards and in compliance with company policies and vision. The scope of the role includes Warehouse & Logistics, Trade Compliance, EH&S, Quality, Customer satisfaction, People management, Operational Excellence and Cost management.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Develop a culture of safety and continuous improvement for EH&S relating to materials storage, movement and transportation. 
•    Provide effective people management & leadership for direct staff reports  thru hiring , supervision , work scheduling , performance management, training and staff development planning.
•    Optimize the use of personnel and resources in meeting demanding service levels to support changing business needs.  
•    Manage compliance to regulatory and quality procedures/systems while ensuring all Logistics, Warehouse or Shipping relevant SOPs and Work Instructions accurately reflect the current process and are kept up to date.
•    Maintain Customer service levels whilst meeting weekly, Monthly or Quarterly Revenue targets
•    Provide leadership for TEOA process improvement initiatives/projects in Warehouse/Storage and Shipping areas
•    Organize & Implement robust inventory movement & control processes and procedures targeting best in class inventory accuracy levels
•    Drive effective metrics/analytics for Logistics costs including labor, Transport freight optimization, import duties /taxes, inventory write-offs, & including any external warehousing providers /activities
•    Support systems rollout of SAP ERP/WMS for Logistics processes across the site
•    Ensure adherence to Customs Compliance and legal/Regulatory requirements
•    Previous Managerial experience in Logistics/Warehousing (in a medical device manufacturing environment preferable)
•    Proven strong leadership and people management skills
•    High level of flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to changing business demands.
•    Excellent PC skills and strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) 
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work across organizations to get best results.
•    Ability to multi-task and work on own initiative.
•    Excellent analytical /problem solving skills
