Training & Learning Specialist

Job Overview

We are looking to hire a Training & Learning Specialist at our manufacturing site in Plymouth, MN. This is a 100% onsite position with great working hours, offering excellent benefits and career growth potential within our global organization! This is a truly rewarding role where you will collaborate with multiple functions, interact with people on daily basis and be a part of TE's Medical Device business operations growth. 

 

Training Coordinator's responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate the training programs for all functions in the plant, including production employees.
  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate training programs for new and existing staff
  • Prepare training reports to evaluate status and completeness of training requirements.
  • Review, verify, data entry, and filing of training records.
  • Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, filing, organizing and maintaining Design History Files.
  • Setup new employees in the system for training and help launch their overall onboarding training process while working closely with other department managers or trainers.
  • Track changes to the work instructions and other QMS change impacts for re-training to updated documents.
  • Collaborate and seek out others throughout the company across departments to carryout training duties.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to the overall training process for continuous improvement.

What your background should look like:

  • A college degree preferred. HS Diploma or equivalent required. 
  • At least 3 years of experience with training methods and processes, having directly performed training operations with hands-on skills and records completion.
  • Experience in production process regulated environment, preferably medical devices.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, including the MS Office applications in addition to enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity and recognition of different processes and operations and the ability to discern complex, high-risk operations for simple steps.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with technical terms in a manufacturing environment
  • Positive can-do attitude, willing to take on challenges, high-energy individual.
