Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.
What your background should look like:

This position contributes to increase ECE performance and reduce cost and inventory within the supply chain by improving Material Replenishment and Flow, standardizing key processes, removing the roadblocks and creating an action-biased culture of continuous improvement

Working with the local Supply Chain managers, he / she will be responsible to drive continuous improvement using lean tools such as VSM, Kanban, RCA, bottleneck analysis, PFEP.

 

Qualified candidates will have experience in some lean tools, knowledge of ERP system and strong team work skills. APICS certification will be differentiating factor

 

Organizational alignment/reporting line:

This position reports to the EMEA Supply Chain manager.

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications

 

Key Tasks:

Collect and analyze data to identify key GPL for the region and for each plant. Drive Value Stream Mapping to deeply understand flow of source of demand and components supply, identify inefficient flow and bottlenecks; Co-work with regional supply chain and S&OP team to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvement by removing bottlenecks and optimizing supply flow.

 

Drive ATO and Kanban implementation and cross region common components pool creation, reduce external & internal customer replenish lead-time, contribute to TE ACCLT & STR improvement.

 

 

Train & provide support to EMEA plant SC & material planning on products wheel creation & EPEI tool implementation, evaluate demand and capacity of critical production process, improve the accuracy of parts level replenishment lead-time and production lot size.

 

Investigate the way of SAP utilization in different plants, standardize planning process, improve planning efficiency by better using / enhancing SAP.

 

Establish sustainable processes to review key planning parameters and provide audit, drive improvement of planning master data management in all EMEA plant.

 

Based on fundamental process of MRP type and SS review to drive inventory & PFO reduction. Work with EMEA plant and other sales regions to transfer and rebalance inventory to reduce PFO & obsoletes.

 

Run kaizen event to drive rapid changes

 

Regularly audit current practices to challenge the teams, bring awareness to make sure that change and continuous improvement become mindset

Key Qualifications, Experiences and Knowledge:

- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or Engineering

and first years related experience in Lean manufacturing, Material Management, Logistics functions

- On hand experience of lean manufacturing and Material replenishment and flow

- Skilled in data management, Excel, ERP system

- Strong Project Management & Communication Skills

- Ability to influence others at all levels of the organization through collaboration

- Exhibits, drives and communicates a clear understanding of desired results

- Has clear vision and demonstrates the ability to learn, develop and deploy new ideas

- Can motivate/influence others to change
