Job Overview

TE Energy is looking for an EMEA Senior Quality Manager (f/m) to be based in our headquarters in Ottobrunn, near Munich. The person will be responsible for leading our EMEA quality functions, with a strong focus on harmonizing processes throughout our plants - in close alignment with the other regional and global quality leads.

Responsibilities:

  • Will have overall responsibility for the Quality Management System in the EMEA region for the Business-Unit Energy
  • Responsible for product quality from all EMEA Manufacturing Sites
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to support and improve business performance in the Energy BU
  • Own quality-related continuous improvement of products, services & processes to drive customer satisfaction while driving down cost for TE Energy EMEA
  • Responsible for customer quality relations, including audits
  • Ensure, together with Procurement, that all suppliers meet the quality requirements of the company. Responsible for supplier quality improvement plans.
  • Interface with global and regional business to develop strategic quality plans
  • Interface with Engineering to ensure AQP tools are utilized for new product developments
  • Contribute to new business initiatives and projects
  • Establish effective cross-site and cross-department relationships and ensure high service levels
  • Plan & undertake internal audits & risk assessments
  • Own & drive digital transformation of the function and QM-tools
  • Effective participation in site, regional & global quality and business meetings
  • Conduct necessary quality reviews and ensure controlling & reporting of agreed quality KPI’s.
  • Leadership of quality professionals in the region (including hiring, project staffing, professional development planning, training, employee performance and salary evaluations)
  • Ensure that the function operates with the highest level of Ethics and Integrity and in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
What your background should look like:
  • Academic degree in engineering or related discipline
  • >7 years of experience in various quality or operational roles
  • >3 years leadership experience
  • Experience working in cross matrix organizations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders and senior management
  • Fluent written and verbal language skills in English. German and/or French of advantage
  • Strong background in Root cause analysis & advanced quality tools
  • Formal background in Six Sigma and practical experience is preferable
  • Analytically minded and data-driven as well as strong process mindset
  • Ability to respond to changes in the work environment
  • Demonstrated managerial courage; self-confident and able to act as role model, also with a doted-line leadership role.
  • Must have a holistic overview of complex situations and deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise
