Senior Manager Engineering - Innolab (m/w/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

 

Tasks

  • Lead and manage a globally based team working on breakthrough technologies and products
  • Develop high performance solutions and platforms for our customers that maintain TE’s leadership position in the Energy market
  • Develop technology strategies, roadmaps and radars for emerging and next generation technologies
  • Clearly translate the technical vision into actionable and measurable objectives, balancing between key short- and long-term deliverables
  • Builds trust with major stakeholders and delivers against agreed timelines, quality and cost targets
  • People leader who can lead, motivate, develop and recruit top talent across multiple locations
  • Build future engineering capabilities and reward outstanding performance
  • Perform resource planning and prioritization for required activities and work with Engineering Centre of Competency leaders on resource requirements, planning and execution.
  • Building strong network and relationships with Customers, professional organizations and universities and research institutes
  • Multi-disciplinary background and record of innovative new product design

What your background should look like:

Requirements

  • Masters degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic or related engineering discipline
  • 15+ years of related Engineering management experience, managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Skilled leader in communicating across a global organization with international teams, and excellent at working within different cultures
  • Experience in developing products for Energy market applications; electrical, mechanical (plastic/rubber/metal), electronic design or software preferred
  • Familiar with state-of-the-art project execution methods – (Scrum, Design Thinking, …)
  • Fluent communication skills in English facilitating collaboration with own team, customers, internal business & technology leaders and external partners to create value
  • Innovation & technology vision and leadership
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build strong, credible relationships across multiple organization functions (inside and outside of TE)
  • Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems
