CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PRACTITIONER

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

The Continuous Improvement Practitioner is responsible for the organization, development and implementation with regards to TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) and digital tools and projects for the TE Connectivity Oostkamp location. The purpose of the position to improve the overall site performance.

TEOA is TE's global business system used to drive transformational change across our business. TEOA is the DNA of our company, driving the extraordinary customer experience.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy:
• Support of the VISION 2022 Plant Deployment Plan (annual and midyear reviews) in consultation with the site leadership team.
• Maintain a helicopter view regarding improvement initiatives in the departments

Execution:
• Responsible for implementation of Star Level 5 TEOA tools and the Digital Roadmap
- Conducting internal TEOA audits on a regular basis and follow-up on further actions
- Supporting TEOA audits on EMEA and corporate level
- Contact person for TEOA systems updates and changes and responsible for internal communication to all stakeholders
• Implementation of the TEOA strategy in alignment with Plant organizational strategy and objectives
• Execution of strategic TEOA and Digital projects for the site
• Inventing and converting new “out of the box” improvement initiatives

Talent:
• Responsible for continuous coaching, training and development of all employees in terms of using TEOA tools.
• Stimulating and thriving possible improvement initiatives within a continuous improvement culture
• Knowledge expert in Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, TPM, Material Flow and specific digital tools (i.e. Power BI, Andon)

Skills and Requirements:
• Knowledge of Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma and/or Digital tools or willing to familiarize with these tools in the short term (specifically Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma, TPM, Material Flow and specific digital tools (i.e. Power BI, Andon)
• Excellent facilitating, organizational and time management skills
• Strong team player and outstanding communication and influencing skills
• Strategic and analytical thinking and a wide range of interests
• Remaining calm within a complex and dynamic environment and balancing multiple priorities and commitments on a daily basis

 

What your background should look like:
