Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations.

This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsible for the material handling duties within the warehouse. This includes the staging of inventory and supplies in que areas for processing, establishing initial counts for goods received and the picking and packing of allocated materials shipping to internal production areas and external trade customers and platting vendors. Organization skills are required to insure goods are accurately distributed, and properly transacted within SAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SAP transactions and UPS / FEDEX software to fully process or (post goods issue) picked and packed materials being shipped to external platting vendors, external (Domestic) trade customers, external (International) trade customers and Interco destinations outside of the US
  • Familiar with all warehouse standard work instructions to fill in as necessary to cover when other warehouse team members are out sick or on vacation
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and dollies to fill in when other team members are on break, out to lunch, out sick or on vacation
  • Trouble shoot issues related to the warehouse flow of material and inventory
  • Maintain 5S and Lean standards at all work stations and areas, ensuring good housekeeping principles each day

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 4-years’ prior experience in a warehouse environment required.
  • Computer Skills experience required with MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • US Citizen or Perm Legal resident required
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience with freight companies and forwarders such as UPS and FEDEX and DHL required
  • Minimum of 4-years’ experience with shipping international shipments and following all ITAR regulations and licensed goods shipping out of the US preferred
  • Operate a variety of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and dollies is preferred  
  • Able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds required
