Quality Assurance Specialist (m/f/d)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

What your background should look like:

  • Identify and drive improvement projects to increase quality and productivity using TEOA (TE Operating Advantage) methods.
  • Planning and implementation of production-accompanying random inspections for continuous monitoring of product quality
  • Initiation and follow-up of corrective measures in case of deviations in coordination with production and development, including documentation of the results as well as the implemented measures
  • Carrying out tests and evaluations on quality-relevant topics
  • Processing internal and external complaints, including error analysis
  • Preparation of FAIs / initial sample inspection reports as well as inspection plans and documents for incoming goods inspection
  • Planning and implementation of regular KAIZEN activities at the site 
  • Pro-active cooperation and exchange of experience ("best practices") with the TEOA managers in the group of companies 

Your tasks:

  • BA or MA in electronics, electrical engineering, communications engineering, mechatronics 
  • At least 3 years of relevant practical work experience in the field of quality management, lean management or comparable function
  • QM core tools (5Why, Ishikawa, 8D etc.)
  • Lean tools: (5S, Value-Stream Mapping etc.)
  • Confident handling of MS-Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) as well as experience with ERP systems (SAP)
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a team, initiative, good communication skills
  • Hands-on mentality and practical experience
  • Self-organised way of working, strategic and analytical thinking
