Job Overview

Ensure that current and planned processes reflect high quality standards, and new methods and systems are developed across the board, implemented and maintained based on risk analysis.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure accident prevention and environmental protection facilities are established and maintained and to encourage all workers to use protective equipment and devices for the purpose of accident prevention and environmental protection.
  • The job holder is authorized, in coordination with the specialist departments, to block products and/or processes in order to restore conformity of systems, processes and products (e.g. creation of quality notifications in SAP (Z1- Z3))
  • Definition, implementation and follow-up of corrective measures in the event of product, process and system deviations
  • Preparation of reports with regard to quality-relevant key figures
  • Evaluation and adoption, as well as development of new methods / products / processes according to phase G5 of the functional checklist and their implementation in series production
  • Advising and supporting specialist departments to maintain and optimize systems and processes
  • Development and introduction of new quality methods (based on risk analyses) and the associated documentation
  • Planning and implementation of product and process audits with identification of improvement potentials and tracking of measures, as well as their preparation and follow-up.
  • Planning and implementation of projects for the continuous improvement of product and process quality
  • Planning and implementation of risk analyses
  • Initiating and supporting failure mode and effects analyses (P-FMEA) 
  • Planning and carrying out root cause analyses in the event of process deviations and/or customer complaints (process-related)
  • Supporting corrective and preventive action projects to improve customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reduce error costs
  • Establishing and maintaining an open and honest quality culture in which all employees are involved
  • Establishing, leading and developing the team, as well as training all relevant interfaces within Ottobrunn (e.g. new methods, new processes, etc.)
  • Exemplifying the corporate culture and conveying a sense of unity (team spirit)

Requirements

  • Successfully completed studies in plastics technology, mechanical engineering or comparable training
  • At least 2 years of experience in plastics engineering and the associated quality of products and processes
  • Sound knowledge of quality management systems
  • Sound knowledge of root cause analysis
  • Sound knowledge of project management
  • Solid knowledge of the relevant Q-tools
  • Training as a quality specialist/quality officer/quality auditor desirable
  • Experience with SAP QM module desirable
  • Experience with the TECHS complaint processing system desirable
  • Result-oriented and independent work, able to work under pressure, high level of commitment and team player
  • Good knowledge of the relevant PC software programs (MS Office)
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
