Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.

The Product Manager is responsible for a specific product line within the MV Underground Solutions team, specifically MV Cold Applied Cable Accessories portfolio. The primary responsibility will be to achieve consistent and profitable annual growth ahead of the relevant markets. They will work cross-functionally to manage all aspects of the product lifecycle from tactical planning to day-to-day activities, with a focus on defining and executing the strategic goals associated with the product line.



  • Drive sustainable profitable growth for an innovative product line (MV cold applied technology) through go-to-market activities, new product development and pricing initiatives.
  • Define the regional product line strategies for the portfolio on a 5-year timeline and created roadmaps for the product lines derived from the portfolio strategy and an execution plan. Considers input from the regions EMEA and APAC to create a comprehensive strategy in a balanced way.
  • Management of gross margin improvements and increases cost competitiveness through the preparation of product business plans, new product developments and product improvements (Sustainable, VA/VE).
  • Analysis of continuous market price tracking, per-product target cost analysis, and consistent cost-out programs
  • Interaction with the customers to understand their trends, strategy and product requirements and to drive internal development activities to support this process.
  • Forecast planning for the product portfolio (volume, value, margin, production capacity, investments).
  • Continuous drive of rationalization initiatives to optimize the product portfolio.
  • Compile and present regular reports on product line performance against relevant key performance indicators (sales growth, margin, new product sales, etc.).

What your background should look like:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or comparable studies (desired)
  • Master’s in business administration (desired)
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, technical sales or as a product specialist in the field of electrical power supply or electrical networks in the industrial segment.
  • Entrepreneurship combined with strategic thinking
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build and motivate teams in an x-functional environment
  • Result and solution oriented
  • Advance level and fluent in English and German (desired)
  • Financial and Managerial analysis skills
  • MS Office and computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote) is required; other software skills SAP or other applicative (desired)
