Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Automotive Terminal and Connector Technology group develops innovative technologies for future automotive applications and implements them in new and existing products in close collaboration with product engineering and manufacturing.
We search for a highly motivated and engaged candidate to develop materials and processes for one of TE’s key sustainability projects, reducing CO2 emissions, energy consumption, and freshwater consumption of our future products.
Typical fields of expertise include printed electronics, materials, chemistry, metallurgy, product requirements and product testing, measurement, analytical testing, process development.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new innovative materials and processes and prepare them for the implementation in products
• Formulate, mix, and test inks for printed electronics applications, optimize printability and tailor printing process and printed material to each other
• Prepare and execute technical and economic feasibility tests on new products and processes, specify and document process parameters for transfer into production
• Produce and test samples for design verification
• Systematic test planning and documentation, design of experiment testing and evaluation
• Closely collaborate with product development, process development and production on new ideas and problem solving, with a continuous focus on quality
• Manage and execute projects on time
What your background should look like:
• Master’s degree or above in material sciences, printing technology, chemistry, electrical or mechanical engineering
• Innovative target-oriented and highly motivated self-employed way of working, hands-on personality
• Experience in scientific working methods, test/experiment planning, execution, evaluation, and documentation
• Interest in printed electronics field, printing technologies
• Interest in analytical methods, like microscopy, chemical analysis, topographic measurements, automised digital data analysis
• Commitment, ability to work in a team and flexibility
• Located in Oostkamp or willing to travel ~ 30-50 %
• Very good English skills, spoken and written
